Formation of language awareness of a native Polish speaker. Case study

Summary/Abstract: The article presents an individual case of the formation of language awareness, divided into three periods: elementary school, secondary school and Polish philology studies. The basis of the analysis was the account of an individual following doctoral studies in linguistics. In the summary of the an- alysis, the author distinguished the factors forming individual language awareness: important people(parents, significant others), home and school environment, university environment, language-related events, foreign language learning, and trips abroad.
