Summary/Abstract: Over the past decade we observed an unprecedented progress of machine learning technologyand big data analytics, and – as a result – products and solutions have been developed andthen advertised as artificial intelligence. This raises questions about the impact intelligentsystems may have on humans, and the possible risks related to it. To understand this phe-nomenon it is crucial to analyse the theological background of these ideas.
