Summary/Abstract: The issues of economic growth and building up of its current development is a nowedays phenomenon. This issue is extremely debate among economists, especially from the World Bank economists. The growth do not automatically converted into developement. In some cases growth creates and reinforces social differences. Growth can only be beneficial for certain segments and social groups and can bypass population. There is an important obligation for institutions and economic policies that this growth to become dispensing. In this paper we analyse the economic growth and development in the case of Kosovo. After the war claimed to emphasize economic growth as a result of reconstruction and the suport of international community. But this growth did not match the alleged reduction of unemployment and poverty. The phenomenon of the impact of economic growth in the creation of inequality in income distribution is also forthcoming from Albania and other Western Balkan countries.
