Summary/Abstract: In this article, the author analyzes the content and function of posters created by members of the Ukrainian resistance movement in occupied Kherson. Due to its literalness and bluntness, even brutal- ity, street propaganda is mainly used to intimidate the opponent. The threat concerns specific people collaborating with the Russians as well as soldiers of the enemy army. Posters also serve to maintain the “resistance spirit” and bring hope for imminent liberation. The author also discusses the problems and dilemmas of a researcher writing a text on current and “hot” social topics, such as the ongoing war and the dynamic change of the described situation.
