Summary/Abstract: This paper proposes an integrated methodology for analysing a new business venture that includes a number of evaluation stages, groupped in two main blocks: Initial Investment Analyses and Final Investment Analyses, concluding with a final decision on the new venture. The main elements of Investment Analyses Metodology presented in this paper are the evaluation phases: “economical fisibility of each alternative” and “final selection of the investement alternative”, which concludes the evaluation process. The metodology incorporates experience derived from a series of successful investments that were formulated, founded or implemented by the author. As it is common in decisionmaking on a new venture, the entrepreneur and the venture capitalist use their creative thinking to evaluate the final business venture alternative, which is included in the methodolgy through the “Decision support model”. The decision support model reflects the decisionmaking process using logical models and analytical tools, while functioning as a virtual laboratory for modeling the economical fisibility of the investment option and for evaluating risk and uncertainty that play a crucial role in decisionmaking. Including the perspective of both entrepreneur and venture capitalist in decisionmaking process, makes this metodology a profound and accurate one in identifying the best investment alternative, as well as enables an unified communication standards for both entrepreneur and venture capitalis. The Investment Analyses Metodology based on the decision support model enables the selection of an optimal investment configuration for a new business venture using different methods of performing subjective evaluations of revenue and risk options.
