Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the contents of the main Soviet philosophical books disseminated in Romania for a twenty-year period after the defeat of the country in the Second World War. The dissemination of these books aimed at fostering in Romania the conditions for the general acceptance of a unique philosophical conception: the Marxism-Leninism. That goal was achieved. In the paper, there are presented seven volumes: 1. Materialismul dialectic și materialismul istoric (which is a section of the fourth part of a book with historical-doctrinal content entitled Cursul scurt de istorie a Partidului Comunist (bolșevic) al Uniunii Sovietice – 1946); that was the official exposition of the philosophy of the Communist Party at that time; 2. Materialismul istoric (1955); 3.-4. Bazele filozofiei marxiste (the newly and soon revisited presentation of the philosophy of the Communist Party after the death of I.V. Stalin: the first edition, 1959, and the second edition, 1962); 5. Filozofia marxistă. Manual popular (1962); 6. Bazele esteticii marxistleniniste (1961); 7. Despre opera lui Friedrich Engels “Anti-Dühring” (an excerpt from a larger text, entitled Dialectical and Historical Materialism, used within Romanian Communist Party schools, 1952).
