A Pilot Genre Pattern of Internet Reportage

Summary/Abstract: This article analyses online reportage on the basis of Maria Wojtak’s method of genological analysis. The aim was to check whether it represents a revolution, destruction, or evolution of traditional reportage, the features of which were described in the first part of the article. In the second part, 12 selected digital reportages were analysed in 4 aspects: structural, pragmatic, cognitive and stylistic. This was used to create a canonical pattern of online reportage and to place the genre in its proper place in journalistic genology, and online journalism.
