On the Losing Side of the Velvet Revolution – Revolution, Transformation, Mistrust

Summary/Abstract: This article is based on the research of a group, that can be called a losers of the Velvet Revolution and its consequent development. It is based on interviews with people, who feel like losers of the revolution and it aspires to describe this group, through their understanding of the revolution of 1989 and subsequent development and some phenomena connected with it. This article focuses mainly on how the losing side understands the Velvet Revolution and development in the following years. It focuses also on the phenomenon which is related to the understanding of the events, which is mistrust in the system. This article is trying to grasp this overlooked group, whose understanding is important for understanding the Whole period after the year 1989. The goal of this article is to describe and enable an understanding of the group of losers of the revolution and some reasons and consequences of this status.
