Intimacy of the body: Performative strategies of emancipation from “emancipation”

Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses the phenomenon of enslaved intimacy. The author refers to the analysis and interpretation of works created by contemporary Polish artists. The discussion of the processes of liberation from stereotypical models of body perception, in which women are still inscribed, is undertaken. The article presents three strategies of this kind of liberation. These strategies are discussed and analyzed through the prism of the actions of the group Sędzia Główny, the works of Agata Zbylut, and one action of Iwona Majdan.
