Summary/Abstract: Whether in terms of explaining the reinforcements that one receives or the behaviors that one adopts, a large number of researches evokes the existence of internal attributions. But other researches, carried out in the field of training or in a professional environment in order to explain the distributive behavior of sanctions, that is to say exclusively focused on the distributor of a sanction, show that the attributions are more hetero attributive than self attributive, more external than internal, even when these distributions are unjust. The objective of this study is to reproduce this situation of inequity and extend it to the family sphere. 48 participants were confronted with scenes in which a chief unfairly sanctioned his subordinates, a parent his children and a spouse the partner. Each sanction, whether positive or negative, was followed by internal and external expla nations of which the participants had to indicate the degree of acceptability. It is observed that the responsible target is preferentially, and in a systematic way, the distributor of the sanction and that the secondary responsibility of the receiver is systematically linked to cyclical factors. The discus sion leads to questioning the conditions likely to explain the contradictions found in the literature.
