Summary/Abstract: Patriotic upbringing in the spirit of Christian faith is an important factor influencing the development of children and teenagers. It emphasizes the importance of tradition, which holds space for historical figures who become role models. In this process, theatre activities prepared by youngsters and addressed to their peers play a major role. Among numerous stage plays of questionable quality, appears a growing number of groups who approach this task with an increasing level of maturity, especially in recent years. They operate within biotheatre and create biogramas (often while being unaware of it). The historical figures mentioned in this article and brought to life by a few particular theatre groups exemplify the direction theatre initiatives for young audiences are heading towards.
