Summary/Abstract: The article aims to highlight the grammatical aspects of the description of the resurrection ofJesus. The initial presentation of the selected syntactic structure shows a certain regularity in the use of the verbs selected to represent the resurrection of Jesus: ἐγείρω and ἀνίστημι. The verb ἀνίστημι was chosen to represent the resurrection of Jesus by his own power. The example from Jn 20:1- 10 indicates a possible understanding of the resurrection of Jesus by one’s own power, pointing to a small element: “a folded cloth”. The analysis of the activity of rolling up the cloth described in the passive voice is connected with the acting subject expressed by the verb ἀνίστημι, which in turn refers to the acting Jesus. It can also be an example of perfect harmony in the actions of God and the Son. This does not change the fact that the resurrection remains, as in John 20:1-10, a matter of faith of the successive disciples.
