Summary/Abstract: The following analysis aims to characterize Ottawa’s policy towards Russian- Ukrainian war. For the following reasoning, it is also important to present what the forms of Canada’s involvement were and how it reacted to the events in Ukraine, from the annexation of Crimea in March 2014 until the Russian invasion in February 2022. The main reason of Canada’s involvement in East- ern Europe is the numerous Ukrainian diaspora and its influence on the pro- cess of shaping Ottawa’s foreign policy. The research methods used in the text are the decision-making and content analysis methods.
