Summary/Abstract: Taking up the issue of the soundscape of war is a response to the increasingly urgent need to take care of acoustic conditions in the context of the inhabitants of the Ukrainian community affected by these varieties. The aim of the research is to try to define the ele- ments of a comfortable soundscape for witnesses of the war in Ukraine and to indicate directions in designing living spaces which can be used to achieve this soundscape. The chosen research methods are an analysis of the literature on the concept of soundscape in general and in the context of war and an online survey in which immigrants and witnesses of the ongoing war in Ukraine answered questions about their sound experiences during the war and related emotions. The conclusions from the study were presented in the form of descriptions of individual space elements, the features of which contribute to the creation of a comfortable soundscape for victims of the war in Ukraine in both new and existing arrangements.
