The Gliński Family in Częstochowa in 1705–1913

Summary/Abstract: The article contains a summary of genealogical research on the Gliński family conducted by the author in 2020–2022. The research concerned people born from the beginning of the 18th century to 1913 in the area of the current city of Częstochowa and the commune of Blachownia, areas with the most numerous group of people with this surname in Poland. It was shown that 95% of the Gliński family born in this period were descendants of the four sons of Wojciech and Małgorzata, Jews from Łojki, who began to use the surname Gliński in the mid-18th century.
