Summary/Abstract: The article examines the impact on the criminal proceedings of the state of emergency, in which the functions of some administrative and judicial authorities are taken over by the military authorities (martial law). This impact manifests itself in changing the jurisdiction of the courts; granting or extending powers in the criminal process to administrative bodies; wide application of simplified proceedings; weakening of procedural safeguards.
