Summary/Abstract: This short review aims to bring new data regarding the prevalence of mental manifestations/disorders among patients with IBD, to identify bidirectional relationships between psychiatric symptoms, course, and the response to treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases, to identify the mechanisms involved in both IBD and psychiatric pathology, which would allow an appropriate management with a distinct approach depending on the associated psychiatric manifestations.
