Summary/Abstract: Migration is a complex and controversial process. It can have a positive and negative impact on both the host country and the sending country. Some people from Western countries have an anti-immigration attitude because of the negative effects of migration, especially the terrorist attacks carried out by migrants. During history, some of the migrant communities played “the fifth column” role against their host countries. Out of the almost one billion people who migrated from their areas of origin worldwide, the author mentions in his study that almost 24,2 million people ran away from natural or man-made disasters – floods, storms and fires.
