Summary/Abstract: The aim of this work is to show the functioning of students with experience of migration in the Polish education system. The analysis of this topic is based on the use of the JES-PL method in teaching Polish as a second language in the context of working with foreigners. On this basis, it is possible to identify differences in the degree of learning the language of school education and in language proficiency, depending on the group in which the child came. Reflection on this theme is based above all on the activities of the teacher, the attitudes he adopts and the didactic knowledge used to adapt young people to the new socio-cultural reality.
