Summary/Abstract: An introduction to the issue dedicated to Wisława Szymborska and Michał Głowiński. In the text, I explain the specific edition-related motivations and circumstances that made the editorial team of Teksty Drugie choose the resulting formula of presenting the two figures: Wisława Szymborska as a benefactor of Teksty Drugie and Michał Głowiński as its most faithful collaborator. Thus, the special issue serves as a token of gratitude.
