Summary/Abstract: Mariology represents a very substantial and interesting chapter of theology, which has been formulated, analyzed and enriched by many theologians in many situations, due to the powerful piety or devotion of Christians for Virgin Mary. Her figure or person is and it was always present in the life of the Church, because she represents the Soul of the Church. We have to consider her mystic presence or image, especially in the first Christian century and also her doctrinal image established at the Ecumenical Synods. In the same time, her liturgical image reflected in the religious sermons of Virgin Mary’s specific holydays and in the homiletical speeches of Holy Fathers are the main aspects of a rich Hymnography, that need to be presented in this study.
