Summary/Abstract: „Healing the human person - the central theme of Pentecost Sundays. Hymnographic incursion”. Pentecost Sundays have, in addition to the baptismal theme, an emphasized therapeutic approach. Through the healings given by Christ to the paralytic at Bethesda or the blind man from birth; through the spiritual healings given to Thomas, the myrrh-bearing women or the Samaritan woman; through the celebration of the Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, the Sundays between the Resurrection and Pentecost, through their hymnography, are a true testimony to the fact that the Church is a true spiritual hospital as St. John Chrysostom states, whose main purpose is the healing of man and his participation in the mystery of the Resurrection of Christ, a mystery to which he is called to become an eternal participant / partaker. The article aims to show the truth contained in the worship books of the Eastern Church that the healing of the human person is the main mission of the Church, as stated by Father Ioannis Romanides. As research methods we used the deductive method and the hermeneutic method, both methods emphasizing the role of hymnography, as a treasure of faith of the Orthodox Church.
