Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to underline the importance of repentance reflected in the Holy Scripture and in the writings of Saint John Chrysostom. From the firs book of Bible until the end repentance appears as the most important concept because it brings the rebirth of man and the remaking of the relation with God. Repentance implies the admission of sinfulness and the work of cleansing sins.
