Summary/Abstract: Love is what a family needs the most. Preschoolers require lots of loving attention in order to develop in a healthy manner. Adults should show them a great deal of consideration within a calm family atmosphere. The small amount of attention and care from the main adults may trigger in time a chaotic behavior on behalf of the children. They could start smoking, drinking and consuming illegal drugs. All these are consequences determined by the lack of real parental preoccupation for the well-being of the child. Even though children receive all the material goods they desire nothing can compensate the scarcity of love offered by mum and dad. Unhealthy development is a serious threat to the child’s long time evolution. Sometimes parents start to intervene in order to repair some of the mistakes they did in their educational efforts. There may be a good time to reassess their own parental behavior and try to change for the benefit of the entire family. Preschoolers develop quickly. They understand the emotional life of others and they can utter extremely intelligent remarks about adults' decision making process. They need to find in their parents a model to be followed. The Christian parents have on their side the teaching of the Church which represents an educational treasure.
