Summary/Abstract: The publication of the first edition of short stories entitled Les contes du chat perché, calls for Marcel Aymé’s attention to a public who already knew his works and appreciated them ever more. The seventeen short stories are, probably, inspired by Aymé’s childhood, spent in the countryside and they illustrate various episodes of the peaceful life lived at the native farm by two sisters who do not grow up as their happenings are narrated, despite the numerous and long escapes in the world of the fantastic, which takes their whole time. Our article suggests an analysis of the typology of the different forms of the journey as they are illustrated in Marcel Aymé’s Contes, followed by some remarks concerning the journey’s vocabulary and by some notes on the titles of the short stories, which are very similar to fables, more precisely a turning in time, on the road already run through by various writers.
