Summary/Abstract: The auto-reflexive moment of the language as such, which gets to stories as constituent parts of every experience and notion of reality, is also the moment which opens up the possibility for a different approach towards the established relations of power, on every social plane. It can be argued that stories deconstruct the negative sign of power, understood as a will to dominate. That kind of breakthrough can be interpreted from the position of progress, but in an altered form in comparison to the appeal to progress taken from the perspective of the Enlightenment project.
