Summary/Abstract: This review focuses on exploring how COVID-19 has affected older adults, representing a significant global concern for public health and societal dynamics. Through a systematic analysis of 54 studies, we identified four key themes: social challenges, public health implications, psychological aspects, and demographic shifts. These themes were derived from an in-depth examination of the literature, shedding light on the multifaceted impact of COVID-19 on older adults. The key findings from the literature review highlight that during lockdowns, older adults experienced heightened loneliness, struggled to care for themselves, and became isolated from their families and friends.
