Summary/Abstract: This paper focuses on the creative laboratory of two contemporary composers working in the field of electronic music – the French composer Jean-Claude Risset (1938 – 2016) and the Bulgarian composer Simo Lazarov (1948), whose professional paths have crossed, leading to the creation of a new genre. On the basis of their described and implemented projects, as well as theoretical research and critical reception of their work, some aspects of their musical thinking and sound aesthetics are being discussed. The analyses and conclusions presented are intended to draw attention to the composers‘ ideas and approaches on a technological and artistic level, as the topic is open to more specific research in the future.
