Summary/Abstract: Saint John Jacob from Hozeva (1913-1960) is a contemporany saint who turned longing for the country and God into prayer. His lyrics are a prayer to God and a confession of his soul to the readers. The spiritual and cultural value of his work is invaluable and his personality is a standard for every christian who wants to live an authentic life in Christ. I have chosen to explore the subject out of desire to reveal to everyone a unique way of confessing and living in the Christ. The work is based on biographical details and the analysis of some poems from literary and religious point of view.
