Summary/Abstract: Cristian Tudor Popescu's book "A Corpse Stuffed with Newspapers" is thoroughly analysed here step by step and quotation by quotation. The book which comprises a number of editorials that appeared in several issues the best read newspaper in the post revolution Romania.The author's unquestionable talent doubled by a lot of common sense and sincerity are often shadowed by prejudice and unconvincing generalisations. A charismatic figure, Cristian Tudor Popescu -"the writer disguised as a journalist" is also a controversial one; strongly criticising the cultural elite's attitudes, he seems to feel familiar in their presence.
