Summary/Abstract: The European Union (EU) is a regional player that aims to strengthen its global status by becoming involved more actively and effectively in maintaining peace and stability in the world. In the EU vision, conflict resolution methods should be peaceful, the organisation choosing to respond to violence through mediation and dialogue and not through military force. Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, the EU has sent its representatives to assist it in the difficult situations it has been experiencing. Various instruments have been involved in solving the crisis, such as restrictive, diplomatic, economic measures merged with mediating and facilitating dialogue.
