Summary/Abstract: The present study focuses on the terminology employed to refer to the Eucharistic Sacrifice within Christianity. Specifically, it undertakes a detailed analysis of the terms originating from Ancient Greek and Latin, alongside their Romanian counterparts. This exploration is grounded in an etymological approach, supported by comparative method. The objective is to elucidate the "parental" connection that exists between the Classical Languages and the Romanian Eucharistic terminology. It begins with an introductory section that provides a comprehensive overview of Linguistics. The introduction is crafted to ensure that the discourse and research remain firmly anchored in the same field.
