Summary/Abstract: Turkmen language, which is located in the easternmost part of the Oghuz group of Turkic languages, right in the center of Eurasia, has its own language features. When we analyze these language features, different features that distinguish Turkmen language from other Turkic languages emerge. Therefore, in this article, the problem of compound sentences, which are analyzed and classified differently in the syntax of Turkmen language, is put forward. In Azerbaijani linguistics, the problem of identifying and classifying the parties of compound sentences existed as a problem in the last century, but it has been completely solved in the modern period. In Turkmen Turkish, the issue is a bit more complicated. Therefore, there are some different aspects in the structure of compound sentences in Turkmen. The main point that draws attention here is that adjective-verbs and adverb-verbs are in possessive structure. In this article, we will try to analyze the problem of compound sentences in Turkmen based on the classification of modern Turkmen linguists, that is, we will analyze this language not from the perspective of Azerbaijani language, but from the perspective of speakers of this language. In this study, Muratgeldi Söyegov and Seyitnazar Arnazarov's textbook “Turkmen Grammar Example” is taken as a basis since it is a modern study.
