Summary/Abstract: The Umayyad government, which was the period when Islamic History spread to the widest areas in a short time, collapsed approximately ninety years after its establishment and was replaced by the Abbasids. Many things have been put forward about their collapse, from tribal policies to negative attitudes towards non-Arabs, from internal turmoil to dynastic conflicts. The fact that some of the caliphs were fond of entertainment, tended to women, and lived a luxurious lifestyle were shown as the main reasons for this collapse. Since the establishment of the state, talented and powerful rulers have concentrated on state affairs and managed to establish a balance in entertainment and their relationships with women. In fact, these caliphs based their marriages on gaining power and married women from Kalb, the most populous and powerful tribe in Syria. On the other hand, the caliphs, who caused the state to weaken, spent time with their concubines and preferred a life of entertainment, luxury and debauchery. This dissolute life into which they fell led to the weakening of the state. In this article, it is focused on how women and melodies can cause the collapse of states if balance is not established, and the Umayyad dynasty is questioned on this issue and some inferences are made.
