Summary/Abstract: Exercise of the Right to Defence in Connection with Interrogation and Remote Participation in a Criminal Trial and Detention Hearing in the Light of ECtHR Case Law The article analyses the possibility of realization of the right to defence in relation to remote hearing and remote participation in criminal proceedings. The author presents Strasbourg standards and confronts Polish regulations with them. The analysis leads to the conclusion that the wording of domestic regulations may lead to the infringement of Strasbourg standards due to the lack of reasons for the decision on remote participation of the accused, the possibility of arbitrary decision concerning the place of the physical presence of the defence lawyer and not ensuring adequate contact between the accused and the defence lawyer.
