Summary/Abstract: While the role of Turkish women in the past generally consisted of routine outside of business life, with the Republican period, women became the leading role of reforms in the new order established. The perception of change that spread throughout society in this period allowed women to gain a more prominent role in business life. Women, who cannot benefit from many of the rights enjoyed by men due to patriarchal gender norms all over the world, have gained more rights than many of their peers with the Republic. Believing that women should be at the forefront, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk took steps that would set an example for the world in this field. Turkish women, who gained the right to vote and be elected before many countries, have come to the fore in many areas with the rights they have gained. Turkish women have undertaken very important professions and played an active role in many fields, regardless of gender. In this research, the roles and achievements of women in the business world were evaluated through the biographies of women in business life during the Republican period. Additionally, important information was mentioned to increase women's participation in business life and awareness in this field.
