Summary/Abstract: The third part of this article is focused on describing the three types of conflict according to John Boyd: attrition conflict, manoeuvre conflict and moral conflict. The author writes about the role of deception in planning and carrying out the campaign, for each type of these conflicts. He addresses the matter of the creation of alternative expectations in the deception process, illustrating it with a causal chain. Last but not least, he writes about the integration of deception in each of these conflicts. In the author’s opinion, deception can be used for subversive purposes, by exploiting dissensions within the organisation in order to increase mistrust and disagreements, thus magnifying internal frictions and creating the conditions for its division. Carrying out deception with a subversive role interferes with the decision-making cycle of the adversary, thus reducing his efficiency.
