Summary/Abstract: Today, Kyrgyz people live outside Kyrgyzstan, in various geographies of the world, especially in East Turkestan. The oral tradition of the Kyrgyz people, which has been going on for centuries in a wide geography, has produced one of the most voluminous works in the world, such as the Epic of Manas. The epic not only sheds light on Turkish history in terms of telling about the struggles of the Kyrgyz with the Chinese and Kalmyks, but also contains unique information about the Kyrgyz culture. For this reason, the epic attracted the attention of many researchers, especially during the Tsarist and Soviet Russian periods, and numerous compilations were made. Interest in the Epic of Manas in the People's Republic of China, began in the 1950s, and thus research groups were formed and compilation activities were initiated. Since he knew the eight circles of the epic, the research in question focused especially on Cusup Mamay, and after a long process, all the circles of the epic were compiled from the Manas teller. In this study, after giving brief information about the Kyrgyz people living in East Turkestan, Manas research carried out by the Chinese government in the region will be mentioned, and the compilation and publication of the eight chapters of the epic by Cusup Mamay will be mentioned.
