Summary/Abstract: This article sums up research on the fate of POWs from the Ukrainian Halych Army, who were taken prisoners by Poles in 1919 and eventually imprisoned in the Pi- kulice camp near Przemyśl. The author analyses the material conditions inside the camp , ood and also the very important question of epidemical diseases, which spread inside the camp in autumn of 1919. Several hundred POWs died of typhus and dysentery in the camp hospital. The article is based on archival materials from Central Military Archive in Warsaw, Central State Historical Archive of Ukraine in Lviv as well as the Polish and Ukrainian press from the époque.
