Summary/Abstract: Since 20 February 1991, Romania, under the treaties and agreements it is party to, has participated in a large number of peacekeeping missions, being recognised by the international community as a key partner in the international effort to extinguish the hotbeds of conflict and normalise the economic and social life in the affected regions. The author considers that the participation in operations and missions, based on the UN Security Council Resolutions and the decisions made by the political and legislative structures in Romania, consolidates the country’s firm option to integrate into the European and Euro-Atlantic economic, political, and security structures.
