The scale created to measure democratic values of students consisted of six dimensions: ‘Respect to equality and diversity’, ‘respect to others rights’, ‘tolerance and diversity’, freedom of others’, ‘respect to others’ diversity’ and ‘sensitivity to diversity’. The factor analysis was conducted to construct validity of the scale explained 53,6 % of total variance whereas has 87 alpha internal consistency coefficient. The analysis was conducted in terms of each dimension, and democratic values were compared by demographic variables such as gender, parents’ education level, parents’ job, monthly income of the family, number of brothers and sisters. In addition to this, except for two dimensions, some variables such as gender, parents’ education level, parents’ job, monthly income of the family, number of brothers and sisters did not affect democratic values of middle school students.
