Summary/Abstract: Because many ethnic Germans from Yugoslavia collaborated with the occupying forces, they were seen as enemies of the socialist state. As a result, minority Germans living in West Germany after the Second World War were targeted by the Yugoslav state security. While the ethnic Germans, in isolated case, were hardly seen as a serious threat: their connections with other anti-Yugoslav forces, especially Croatian exiles, presented them as a considerable danger.
