Summary/Abstract: Taking into account multilayered and sometimes contradictory ideas about medical authorities and medical workers, the authors establish a framework for a partial and limited ethnographic insight into the experiences of medical workers in their everyday lives during the pandemic, focusing on changes in their work and everyday routines, ways of coping with human suffering and death in medical institutions, as well as their approach to life outside of hospitals, in an everyday life that was in (dis)harmony with the dangers that threatened the population.
