Summary/Abstract: Agnieszka Pawłowska-Mainville is Associate Professor at the University of Northern British Columbia, Canada, and UNESCO Chair in Living Heritage and Sustainable Livelihoods. Working in a multilingual context with diverse knowledge-holders, she examines intangible cultural heritage safeguarding and valuation of living heritage elements such as eco-cultural practices, cultural landscapes, languages, traditions, and other cultural expressions. Her work aims to support the conditions for cultural heritage and linguistic transmission. She is the author of the book Stored in the Bones. Safeguarding Indigenous Living Heritages published by the University of Manitoba Press.
