Summary/Abstract: This article deals with the well-known work of Danilo Kiš, The Encyclopedia of the Dead, which has a double genre status: stories and novel. Kiš uses the myth according to the criterion of analogy, drawing parallels between antiquity and actuality, through a discursive pluralism. Thus, the discourses in this novel are different (realistic, fantastic, oneiric, etc.), just as postmodernism’s poetics prefers, one of which representatives is Danilo Kiš himself.
