Summary/Abstract: The article presents changes taking place in agricultural land resources in Poland in 2010–2020. Particular attention was paid to identifying changes in the distribution of agricultural land. The analysis was carried out at three levels - national, voivodeship, and municipal, and was based on data from the Central Office of Geodesy and Cartography in Warsaw (GUGiK). It was found that the process of shrinking agricultural land resources is ongoing (a loss of 498.3 thousand ha) and its dynamics have increased compared to the first decade of the 21st century (2000–2010 a loss of 369.4 thousand ha). The area of agricultural land decreased in all voivodeships and most communes. Al-though the loss of agricultural land affected almost all communes, the intensity of this phenomenon in spatial terms varied significantly. The systematic reduction of agricultural land resources did not result in major changes in their spatial distribution. Changes in agricultural land resources in the years 2010–2020 are the result of the influence of many conditions. These include natural conditions as well as social and economic conditions. It is difficult to clearly define their hierarchy. The factors differ in their „strength of influence”, which also changes over time and the scale of their mutual in-fluence. Spatial analysis of changes in agricultural land resources indicates that some conditions vary regionally, e.g. urbanization processes, and natural conditions. Agricultural land is treated primarily as a kind of reservoir of land for investment, and therefore its resources will probably continue to decrease. Taking into account food security as well as the wide range of functions that agricultural land performs in the natural environment, it is necessary to manage agricultural land responsibly and monitor its resources and changes taking place in the structure of land use.
