Summary/Abstract: In 2023. it has been 100 years since the birth of Đurđevka Čakarević, prima donna of the Belgrade opera. In this work, her artistic and life biography is presented. As a leading mezzo-soprano for more than two decades, she was the backbone of the Opera of National theatre's repertoire. Her accomplishments - Amneris in ''Aida'' or Aldađiza in ''Norma'' - have been present on opera scenes in Germany, Italy, Sweden, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, the USSR, Egypt, Greece, and France for many years. Her singing career was enriched by a a large number of concert performances in the country and abroad. Finally, her artistic contribution includes pedagogical work with already formed singers with whom she worked on perfecting the technique. She collaborated with the most important opera artists of the second half of the 20th century - conductors and singers and in the best way fulfilled the brilliant career of an opera diva.
