Summary/Abstract: The increase in aggressive behavior of the youth in the real world, in addition to other causes (personality, influence of the environment and family), is most often associated with the offered media content. Analyzing the influence of television, music, video games and social media on the formation of aggressive patterns in young people, we investigate how selected media content can shape their attitudes and behavior, especially in the context of aggression. By reviewing the relevant literature and empirical studies, an insight into the mechanisms of transmission of aggression through the media was provided. The goal of the paper is a better understanding of this phenomenon, in order to identify potential strategies for prevention and education, with the aim of reducing aggressive behavior among the youth.
