Summary/Abstract: On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Prof. Miroslav Yanakiev, the article examines his views on education: in school, the learning content should be determined by society through tests; training must be multilingual; learning must be placed on a stylistic (semiotic) basis to be intensified; education should develop the intellect as well as the body and emotions; it is necessary to create an international educational standard.
