Summary/Abstract: Study time is a period when many young people move out of their family homes and start their own adult lives. This involves many changes in their current functioning, including, most often, living independently (to a greater or lesser extent), or even preparing meals. Knowledge of the principles of proper nutrition makes it easier to make many choices, which may result in the body’s nutritional quality being higher or lower. The research covered 328 students of Krakow universities living in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, who were asked 15 questions about nutrition. Students’ knowledge is at an average level, with a percentage of correct answers of 55.6%. There was no clear relationship between the location of the district, the size of the town and the number of positive responses.
